Celebrating the Season in Texas State Parks

There are more than 90 state parks scattered across the state, and many people, especially those new to Texas, aren’t even aware that these treasures exist. Recreational vehicles are one of the most popular ways to enjoy state parks, and while most folks think about visiting parks in spring or summer, the crisp, cool days of fall and winter are ideal for outdoor fun.

As you ponder which park to visit, you might want to consider crossing a few folks off your gift list by taking advantage of a special offer from Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation. The non-profit funding partner for Texas Parks and Wildlife Department is offering a discounted annual pass as a holiday gift. For $65, you can give the gift of Texas this holiday season. The Texas State Parks Pass provides 365 days of free access to more than 90 state parks and 100 percent of the proceeds directly support state parks. It’s a perfect for the RVer on your gift list.  You can buy a pass online HERE.

And if getting ahead of your shopping chores is not reason enough to venture outdoors, there’s a host of holiday events that may entice you. Here’s a list of a few upcoming events across the state.
